Florida Kids Free Admission!

image courtesy of Sea World & Busch Gardens
For all you Florida residents, I wanted to pass along an AMAZING deal for your kids. It is the Preschool Pass from Busch Gardens and Sea World. Simply go to this website, register your children under the age of 5 (they can be turning 6 in 2012, but must be 5 at the time of registration), and bring the e-Ticket printed from the website with a copy of their birth certificate to the front gate. They will get free admission to both parks all year through December 31, 2012! Just be sure you register online, as this offer is not valid at the front gates.

And for the Florida resident adults, buy a Fun Card for $80 for one park, or both Busch Gardens and Sea World for $136, and go unlimited through December 31, 2012 with your kids!

Let me know how your family adventures turn out!

Busch Gardens/Sea World and their affiliates did not contact or compensate me for this post. I think it is just a deal too good to pass up and wanted to share with all my friends and bloggers!

Free Clothing

You did not read the headline wrong! Sears Outlet is offering one piece of FREE clothing, including items from their LLBean line, to its Shop Your Way Rewards members every TUESDAY from now until the end of the year- no purchase necessary! To become a member, just click here, enter your e-mail address, and go shop! Or, just sign up at the Sears Outlet store near you.

Be sure that the Sears Outlet near you has clothing... for all you readers in Tampa Bay, Florida, the store at 5251 110th Avenue North (off US Highway 19) in Pinellas Park is the place to go! The offer does not apply to outerwear (like coats) or leather (belts/shoes), but to everything else. Some savvy shoppers found L.L.Bean cashmere sweaters for $99 that they got for free!

I went in yesterday (Tuesday) with my Rewards card, and walked out with a pretty jersey dress that would look super cute with boots or leggings.

 The original price:

Receipt after my Rewards card was scanned:

I know this is CRAZY to be giving away a free article of clothing, but if you look around at all the deals they have, most clothing is $4, $5, and $7 anyway, so you really should be buying more than one item! If you find two shirts for $5 each, with one free from your Rewards card, it really comes out to $2.50 a shirt, or Buy One Get One Free. I just had about 2 minutes and was testing out the program, so I didn't have time to look for anything else. But I am going back every week to get something else and look for more Christmas presents too! My husband said that he is going to do it with some co-workers who are adopting a family for the holidays, because their money will go further to buy clothing for all the family. Be sure to check out the selection in your area every TUESDAY... maybe I will see you there!

Sears and Sears Outlet did not pay me or compensate me for this review. I guess they did give me free clothes, but it is available to everyone, and I am just spreading the word!

Fresh Towels

As the nights get cooler, I love snuggling up in a blanket or in our bed and going to sleep. However, when I wake up in the morning and have to take a shower, the chill that hits me just doesn't go away.
photo from here

Recently, I was asked by Blogher to sample the Bounce Dryer Bar, and I have to tell you, as much as I hate to do laundry, this certainly makes it all the more worthwhile. And, my new found love is washing and drying towels at night and leaving them in there, and just turning the dryer on for a few minutes before I jump in the shower, so the towels are nice and warm. A warm towel after a shower on a cool morning is one great way to start the day! And the subtle but fresh scent of the dryer bar is just heavenly!

It certainly saves you from buying all those dryer sheets, or doing laundry and forgetting to throw one in to the dryer like I often do! So easy to install and replace too... it is just so easy! Thanks to Blogher and Bounce for the opportunity to try this out. I think I may like doing laundry a little bit more now!

Renovation Meets Cupid

This weekend, between demolition of my brother's kitchen and painting his man cave, we made several trips to Home Depot and Lowes. I remembered an idea I had seen in various outlets online, and decided to pick up a few freebie paint samples to make some quick Valentines. I took my Alphabet stamp kit (last seen here) and used them to make cute cards for my loved ones. Here's the quick project:

Pick out the letters that you will be using. I decided on Xs's and O's to keep things simple, and I LOVE U for my husband's card.

At Home Depot and Lowes, I found some great paint swatches with shades of pink and red that worked perfect for the cards.

Just stamp on the letters or message. I really liked that the 3 colors made three great lines for wording.  Since the paint swatches have a semi-gloss finish on them, I recommend letting the ink dry for a while before you put them on envelopes or hand them out. They tend to smear. You could also take a hair dryer to them if you need them in a jiffy.

Here are the completed cards:
How cute are they?! Took me a whole 5 minutes to do about 10 of them. I then took a permanent black pen and signed my name. You can use this idea for any kind of card in an entire paint section full of color options, and the best part, they're free.

Halloween Freebies!

Planning a Halloween party? Here are some awesome freebies from fellow bloggers.

Artificial Eyeballs courtesy of The Graphics Fairy. Simply print, cut, and add to any photo or artwork in your house. They remind me of the eyes that follow you at Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World.

Blush Printables has really fantastic Bottle Wraps  perfect for your Halloween Cocktail Party! They also have adorable straw flags too! I love how they look aged, and great on different sized bottles.

If you want to get a little more creative and make your own, Centsational Girl has a Bottle Wraps How To Guide on how to design your own.
The AMAZING Stefanie at A Brooklyn Limestone created these Toe Tag Invitations that you can simply print and write in for a last minute Halloween bash. Check out her site for more incredible ideas for Halloween. She is the best!

I have always loved these creepy mice playing on the stairs (courtesy of Martha Stewart). You can go to her site to download and print these here. She also has other clip art that you can use to decorate here.

Another great site I found is that of This Fresh Fossil. she has adorable clip art of Halloween Tags, Creepy Mice, Black Cats, and even a great Halloween card to give to family and friends.

And I love these Tombstone Place Cards from Go Against The Grain. There are so many different uses for them too! You can also use them a tags on goody bags, food labels, or even put them on glass jars filled with candy on your Halloween table.

And if you have any more freebies to help make your Halloween party even more spooktacular, let us know!
